The Clare County Christmas Outreach Committee is asking you to take advantage of the numerous sales at your local Pamida store in Clare and help fill up the Project Kids Christmas donation box. December 8, 2012, the day of this year’s Project Kids Christmas Outreach, is just five months away. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to help needy Clare County children. Toys, blankets, winter coats, and hats and mittens are needed. The donation box will be at Pamida in July and August and is a great way to start your holiday giving.
Last year Project Kids Christmas helped 450 households during the 2011 holiday season with 779 children receiving gifts, stocking stuffers, blankets, warm winter coats, and hats and mittens. It was truly a remarkable accomplishment and so many lives were touched by the community’s kindness.
Please consider giving by dropping donations in the box covered in Christmas wrapping paper at the Clare Pamida. Folks interested in joining the Clare County Christmas Outreach Committee are invited to attend the planning meetings on the third Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is scheduled for July 17th at 3 PM at the Clare County DHS in Harrison. For more information about this program call Gretchen Wilbur at (989) 539-4258.
